The content of this book is fascinating. The authors provide a general introduction into the art of therapy for beginning therapists, mostly relying on attachment and humanistic principles. The material is engaging and quite useful for counselors to develop basic counseling skills. However, the book seems to be COMPLETELY UNEDITED and is FULL OF TYPOS, sometimes even preventing the reader from understanding what a sentence is trying to say. I have never seen an unedited academic textbook, and I wonder how this could happen. I would give five stars to this book for its content, but zero for the authors' utter lack of respect toward the reader for publishing a manuscript.
