I am at 62% in this book. I do like this author and most of her past books that I have read. It is very well written, she is a great writer with good story lines. However, this one is just way to slow for me. Here are the PROS/CONS for me:PROS:love the authorlove the story linelove the Scotland settingLead characters are mostly likeable, just one thing I don't care for about the Male LeadWhen its HOT it is HOT but it takes a LONG time to get there.I like the suspense and whodunit aspect. That keeps the story going.CONS:It takes all the way up to 40ish percent for them to even consider liking each other. And I do mean they do not like each other, no mention of sparks or anything like that.Heroines dad is only 44 because he had her when she was 16. No judgement here. Just makes it weird in some spots because it is mentioned so many times that they look the same age.I think it is about 50% in that they finally get together. It is repeated so many times that they are just in it for the physical part of the relationship that it was hard for me to even root for them to be a couple.Blasphemy. Starts to get to be too much. I can ignore the other bad language but not when it is against God.The constant appearance of the exes, even though they are likeable exes, is extremely irritating. I mean I get that he has a past but dang. Do they have to be two of the main supporting characters and/or good friends. Just ugh.The father/daughter relationship sorta take over. I would rather have less of that in a romance.I plan to finish because I have been tossing so many books lately so maybe its just me. All of this is just my personal opinion and you may very well enjoying digging deeper into all their loves and all the backgrounds and stories. It got too much for me and so I just started skimming until I get to what I consider are more interesting parts.
